Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, initially known as Telugu University was established through an Act of Andhra Pradesh Legislature on December 2, 1985. The Telangana Govt adopted this University Vide GO.Ms.No. 28, Higher Education (UE) Dept dt: 11.09.2015. The University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi has recognized this University as an institution fit to receive central assistance, under Section 12(b) of the UGC Act for all purposes, vide UGC letter No. F.5-17/85 (CPP), Dt. 5.12.1990. This University is also accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and accreditation Council) in the year 2013. An experts committee constituted by Distance Education Council (DEC), New Delhi, a statutory body under Indira Gandhi National Open University Act 1985, visited the Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University on July 31 and August 1, 2010 and granted recognition for the courses offered by the Centre for Distance Education

1. Last date for submission of admission application form without late fee : February 29, 2016 
2. Last date for submission of admission application with late fee of Rs.200/-  April 30, 2016
3. Contact-cum-Counseling Classes : 
4. For the students admitted in the academic year 2015-16: 1 st June, 2016 to 10th June, 2016.
5. For the second year students: 2 nd Jan, 2017 to 11th Jan.
6. Every year January First week Onwards for further years students. 
7. Last date for submission of Annual Exam Application Forms : May 01, 2016 to June 10, 2016
8. Last date for submission of Annual Exam Application Form with late fee of Rs. 300/-  June 11, 2016 to July 10, 2016
9. Last date for submission of Annual Exam Application Form with late fee of Rs. 600/-  July 11, 2016 to July 31, 2016
10. Last date for Submission of MCJ assignments (I / IInd Years)  30 June 2016 / 30 June 2017
11. Last date for submission of Response Sheet for CCMT  30 June, 2016
12. Submission of M.A. Astrology Project Report for Paper-V  July 31, 2017
13. Submission of Documentary Film for PG Dip. TV Journalism Course : July 31, 2016
14. Annual Examinations : September/October, 2016
15. Last date for Payment of 2 nd and above years course fee January 31 Every Year
16. Last date for Payment of course fee with a fine of Rs.500/-  April 30.
