ORDER:-

1.The Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) launched 
by Ministry of Urban Development, Government of India in June, 2015 mandates a set of 11 Reforms with 54 millstones to be implemented by all the States within a period of 4 years from 2015-16 to 2018-19. One of the milestones to be implemented under reform Urban Planning and City Development Plans is to “Action plan to progressively increase green cover in cities to 15 % in five years” before 31.03.2016. 

2.The Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Urban Finance and Infrastructure  Development Corporation, A.P., Hyderabad vide reference read above has forwarded 
“Action plan to progressively increase green cover in cities to 15 % in Five years” 
prepared by APUG&BCL and requested the Government to approve the same so as to 
communicate the same to ULBs for implementation. 

3.After careful consideration, Government hereby approve “Action plan to progressively increase green cover in cities to 15 % in Five years” prepared by APUG&BCL as annexed to this order. 

4.The Director of Municipal Administration / Chief Engineer (PH), A.P., Hyderabad 
shall take necessary further action accordingly in the matter and communicate the same to concern ULBS for implementation. They shall ensure that this Action Plan is formed as part of their Annual Development Plans / State Annual Action Plan of each AMRUT ULB duly breaking it into year-wise targets / achievables so that planned and concerted efforts can be taking for achieving the objectives of Reform under the AMRUT scheme.
