O R D E R:-

1.In the circumstances mentioned by the Commissioner of Health & Family Welfare,
Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad in the letter 7th read above, Government after careful examination of the matter hereby decided to amend the rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.679, Health, Housing & Municipal Administration Department, dated:19-04-1966.

2.Accordingly, the following notification will be published in an Extra – Ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated:21.05.2016.

NOTIFICATION

3.In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of
India, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendment to the Adhoc Rules issued in G.O.Ms.No.679, Health, Housing & Municipal Administration Department, dated:19.04.1966 read with G.O.Ms.No.918, Health, Housing & Municipal Administration Department, dated:09-11-1974 and as subsequently amended in G.O.Ms.No.266, Health Medical & Family Welfare (D2) Department, dated:18.11.2009:

AMENDMENT

In the said rules:- In rule -2 “Appointment”, the following shall be substituted, namely;-

1) Appointment to the posts shall be made in the following order of preference:-

(A)By Promotion:- By the Staff Nurses who have completed the B.Sc. Nursing (4)
Years Degree Course or the Two years regular Post Basic B.Sc.(Nursing) Degree /
Condensed B.Sc (Nursing) Degree after GNM course from the Nursing Institute
recongnised by the Indian Nursing Council and according to the seniority of Staff
Nurses with B.Sc. (Nursing) qualification.
(OR)

(B) By Direct Recritment:- A ratio of 50% of the posts shall be filled by the candidates
possessing (4) years B.Sc.(Nursing) Degree and the another 50% of posts shall be
filled by the candidates possessing (2) years regular Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) Degree
/ Condensed B.Sc.(Nursing) Degree, after completion of GNM course from the
Nursing Institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council.

2) rule 4, ‘SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS’ shall be omitted.
