AP Dr NTR University of Health Sciences Admission into P.G Medical Courses as per Roster System Amendments Orders as per G.O.Ms.No:68, Dated:21-04-2017,AP Medical Colleges Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada Admission into Post Graduate Medical Courses as per Roster System and subsequently as per the proposals of Dr. NTR UHS Amendments Orders as per G.O.Ms.No:68, Dated:21-04-2017,AP Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada has reported that previously the PG admission process was as per “Roster System Amendments Orders as per G.O.Ms.No:68, Dated:21-04-2017.
AP Medical Colleges  Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada Admission into Post Graduate Medical Courses as per Roster System and subsequently as per the proposals of Dr. NTR UHS broad specialty-wise reservation system was introduced vide Rules 1997 – Certain amendments to existing Rules Amendments  Orders as per G.O.Ms.No:68,  Dated:21-04-2017.

In the letter 5th read above, the Registrar, Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada has reported that previously the PG admission process was as per “Roster System” and subsequently as per the proposals of Dr. NTR UHS “broad specialty-wise reservation” system was introduced vide GO 3rd read above  with certain amendment in the GO 4th read above, to facilitate the category candidates for obtaining seats in broad specialties to enable them to pursue Super Specialty courses related to the Broad Specialty chosen by them.

In the letter 5th read above, the Registrar, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada has reported that in the process of conducting counselling by following the above G.Os, for admissions into PG Medical Courses, it is observed that the conversions in service seats effecting the reservation policy. As reservation to service candidates is a provision of horizontal reservation, conversions in service seats effects the constitutional reservations which may deprive the chances of getting a seat by a meritorious category candidate.

Consequently, the Registrar, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada has proposed certain amendments to the G.Os.3rd and 4th  read   above.

The Government after careful examination of the proposal have decided to amend the Andhra Pradesh Medical Colleges (Admission into Post Graduate Medical Courses) Rules, 1997 with regard to selection of candidates for admission into PG broad speciality.

Accordingly, the following notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, Dated:26 -04-2017.

N O T I F I C A T I O N


In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 read with sub-section (1) of Section 15 of the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Prohibition of Capitation Fee) Act,1983 (A.P.Act No.5 of 1983), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the Andhra Pradesh Medical Colleges (Admission into Post Graduate Medical Courses) Rules, 1997 issued in the G.O.Ms.No.43, HM & FW (E1) Department, Dated: 13/03/2013 for preparation of seat matrix and the selection procedure for admission into PG broad speciality in the Competent Authority Quota:-

AMENDMENTS


After item (xv) of Rule II of G.O.Ms.No.43, HM & FW (E1) Department, Dated:13/03/2013 amended in G.O.Ms.No.88, HM & FW (E1) Department, Dated: 21/05/2014, the following shall be substituted:-

(XVI)  After completion of the final Counselling for Service seats, the unfilled Service seats shall be added to Non-service seats, for its original category as was earmarked in the original seat matrix of the Service seats, before commencement of subsequent phase of counselling for Non-service seats
After item (xvi) of Rule II of G.O.Ms.No.43, HM & FW (E1) Department,Dated: 13/03/2013 amended in G.O.Ms.No.88, HM & FW (E1) Department, Dated: 21/05/2014, the following shall be added:-

The following is the procedure for filling up of the unfilled SC, ST and BC  Non-service seats.


  • All the female candidates will be considered for the unfilled female seats.
  • All the unfilled female seats will be converted to general seats of the respective    categories.
  • All SC candidates will be considered next for the seats.
  • The unfilled SC seats will be converted to ST
  • All the ST candidates will be considered for the seats
  • The unfilled ST seats will be converted to SC.
  • All the SC candidates will be considered for the seats
  • All the unfilled seats will be converted to OC seats .
  • All the BC-A seats will be converted to BC-B.
  • All the BC –B candidates will be considered for the seats
  • The unfilled BC-B seats will be converted to BC-C.
  • All the BC-C candidates will be considered for the seats
  • The unfilled BC-C seats will be converted to BC-D.
  • All the BC-D candidates will be considered for the seats.
  • The unfilled BC-D seats will be converted to BC-E.
  • All the BC-E candidates will be considered for the seats.
  • The unfilled BC-E seats will be converted to BC-A.
  • All the unfilled BC seats will be converted to OC.
  • All the merit list candidates will be considered for the converted OC seats.
  • A seat vacated by reserved category candidates will be added to the OC Category only and the seat will be filled up.
  • The unfilled OC seats will be converted to OC unreserved seats.
  • All the candidates will be considered for the seats irrespective of the local area.
  • Any seats unfilled will be treated as not filled seats.
