AP Nursing Education Enhancement of B.Sc (N) seats from 25 to 100 in
Government College of Nursing, Kurnool- Order as per G.O.MS.No. 85 Dated: 31-05-2017.
In the G.O.1st read above, it is provided that Nursing College having parent Medical Colleges / Hospitals with more than 500 beds are entitled to have 100 seats.
In the letter 2nd read above, the Director of Medical Education, has stated that the Principal, Government College of Nursing, Kurnool in Lr. Rc.No.E1/Spl/M.Sc(N0/2016, Dt.2-11-2016 has requested for enhancement of B.Sc (N) seats from 25 to 100 as the Government College of Nursing, Kurnool has started in 1982 with annual intake of 25 students in 4- year B.Sc (N) Degree course and 10 students‘ year B.Sc (N) Degree course for in service candidate, which started in 1986. The College has clinical affiliation to the oldest reputed 1000 bedded Government General Hospital, Kurnool and Kurnool Medical College, Kurnool.
The Government after careful examination of the matter has decided to accept the proposal of the Director of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh and accordingly hereby accord permission for enhancement of seats from 25 to 100 in B.Sc (Nursing) course in Government College of Nursing, Kurnool.
The Director of Medical Education, Andhra Pradesh / Registrar, Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences shall take necessary action in the matter.
