In pursuance of the judgment of Hon’ble Supreme Court of
India dt. 12-8- 2005 in Appeal (Civil) No. 5041 of 2005 filed by P.A. Inamdar
Vs. State of Maharashtra (AIR 2005 SC 3226), and also discussions held with the
Private Unaided Minority Dental College in the State of A.P. for the Post
Graduate courses i.e., MDS/PG Diploma, a consensual arrangement was arrived in
adopting the admission policy and seat matrix for the competent authority seats
/ Management seats in Unaided Minority Dental College in the State in respect
of PG (Medical and Dental) courses.
The State Government and the private managements of
professional colleges, since then, having worked out periodically under
consensual arrangements, providing for seat sharing, process of admissions and
determination of fee structure; and said 'arrangements /consensual agreements,
were given effect to by issuance of necessary notifications/executive orders by
the state Government in GOs 1st and 2nd read above.
The Government have examined the representation of the
Secretary Lenora Institute of Dental Sciences, only Minority institution
offering PG Courses i.e., MDS/Diploma courses at present in the state of AP
agreed to continue the consensual arrangement for the ensuing academic year as
well. After an extensive consultation process, keeping in view the need for
effectively implementing the Reservation Policy of the State, as well as
facilitating better access to professional courses to the students of State of
Andhra Pradesh, in consonance with Article 371- D(2)(c) in the Constitution of
India and also to maintain 'the imparting of quality education' to the student
community, while also ensuring quality health care in teaching hospitals ,
subject to the Medical Council of India guidelines, have decided to provide for
a consensual agreement'; as stated hereunder.
Where as the representative of Minority institution have
consented to abide by the admission procedure and fee fixation on par with Non
– Minority institutions vide representation 5th read above.
Accordingly, The
following notification shall be published in the Extraordinary issue of the
Andhra Pradesh Gazette dated:08th May, 2017.
