APSRTC BUS PASSES Instructions issue of Free and Contest student bus passes 2021-22 guideline

Corporation is realizing Rs. 466 Cr. of revenue by issuing 11.70 lakhs Free and concessional bus passes to students every year.
Targets for issue of Free and concessional bus passes during the year 2021-22 communicated vide reference cited 1 above. 470 cr. of revenue has to be realized on the
Heny sale of bus passes during the year 2021-22 Vide reference cited 2 above. Yearly bus pass scheme was introduced during the year 2018-19 duly withdrawing monthly bus pass. In view of low response to Yearly pass system monthly passes were restored vide reference 3rd cited above.
Free and concessional bus Passes were issued from June to September during every year till March 2020.
Operation Department is communicating the timelines for issue of Monthly. Quarterly & Yearly Bus Passes to the IT department and Depot Managers to incorporate necessary changes in the software of the Bus Pass Project During the academic year 2021-22 Schools/ Colleges are going to be opened from July, 2021. The following instructions are issued for issue of bus passes. To issue of Free and Yearly bus Passes up to 30.09.2021 only.
To treat July 2021 to April 2022 as the academic year Issue of Student concessional passes
a) Up to 10 Class
b) intermediate
c) Polytechnic: up to 30.04.2022
d) Bachelor's Degree e) Professional courses: up to 31.05.2022
The other instructions issued vide circular at ref 2nd cited stands good.
The yearly student concessional bus pass tariffs details from July. 2021 to Sept, 2021 are furnished at Annexure-A.
It shall be ensured that the franchisees shall provide manpower at bus pass issue counters regularly. If manpower is not arranged by the franchisees, necessary action shall be initiated as per the terms and conditions of the bus pass franchisee contract agreement.
IT department to initiate necessary action for modification of timelines in the software for different type of passes and to courses.
Hence, all the EDS. RMs are advised to issue suitable Instructions to all Depot Managers and traffic in-charges to ensure issue of all types of bus passes at bus pass counters to achieve the targets.
