 Read the following:

2021, Government of Andhra Pradesh. 

 3. From the Chief Executive Officer, A. P. State Waqf Board, Vijayawada , Letter No.E1/20/2019-AP, Dt.12-07-2021. 




In the reference 3rd above, the Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh State Waqf Board, Vijayawada has stated that in the reference 1st read above, Government have issued necessary precautionary guidelines to be followed especially during the Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) Eid prayers for the previous year in view of the pandemic COVID-19. 

Further in the reference 2nd read above, the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 03.05.2021 has imposed curfew w.e.f. 05.05.2021 subsequently extended time and dates from time to time to take all precautionary measures in delinking the spread of COVID pandemic. He has further stated that this year , the Eid-ul- Azha (Bakrid) Eid is scheduled to be held on 21st July 2021 (subject to moon sight). He has requested the Government for issuance of necessary instructions to the District Collectors and Commissioners/ Superintendents of Police in respect of performance of Eid prayers during Eid-ul- Azha and for Qurbani. 

2. Accordingly, the following guidelines/ instructions are issued to take the following measures in ensuring Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid Festival-2021) on 20.07.2021 or 21.07.2021 depending on moon sight 

 

i. Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) prayers shall not be performed in Eidgahs or at open places and prefer to offer prayers in the Masajits only, to avoid large congregations. 

ii. Prayers should be performed only in Masajits confining with the 50% occupancy of Musallies over the area of the Masajits and safe distance must be maintained between persons praying i.e., duly maintaining social /physical distancing (6 feet) and other precautionary health norms. 

iii. If necessitated the Eid prayers can be conducted subsequently / separately for the other Musallies / individuals in other spell. 

iv. Wearing of mask is mandatory and No one shall be allowed without mask. 

v. Every devotee / Musalli coming to the Masjid for prayers is advised to perform Wadhu at home and bring his own prayer mat / Jaye-Namaz (Janimaz). 

vi. The Managements of the Masjid shall keep sufficient number of sanitizers at the entry points. Before entry / exit of the Masjid, hands shall be cleaned with sanitizer or soap. 

vii. Imams and Khateebs are requested to make the Eid Khutbah / sermons short. 

viii. Senior Citizens, children and people with cough, cold or fever are appealed to perform the Eid prayers at their homes only. 

ix. People suffering with diabetes, high BP and other coronary heart ailments are advised to offer prayers at their homes only 

x. Further, it is also advised to avoid meeting relatives, Eid-milap programs, hand shaking (Musafa), hugging with each other etc., in order to delink the spread the CORONA VIRUS. 


3.In addition to the above, Government have issued certain guidelines which are annexed to this order. 

4.Therefore, Government is here by direct all the Heads of the Departments and District Collectors/Commissioners/Superintendents of Police of the State to take necessary action to facilitate the public in respect of performance of Eid prayers during Eid-ul- Azha and Qurbani and it should be ensured that all necessary protocols of COVID-19 shall be followed scrupulously.
