1. In the G.O. 1st read above, Government have issued orders notifying holidays for the year 2021.
2 In the letter 2nd read above, the Government of India declared holiday on the account of "MOHARRUM" on 20.08.2021 (FRIDAY) instead of 19.08.2021 (THURSDAY) as Moharrum observed in Delhi / New Delhi by the announcement of Ruiyat Hilal (Moon Sighting) Committee, headed by Shahi Imam, Jama Masjid, Delhi.
3. In the letter 3d read above, the Chief Executive Officer, AP State Waqf Board, Vijayawada informed that 10th Moharrum falls on 20.08.2021 (Friday) as per moon sight and requested to modify the public holiday on 20.08.2021 (Friday) account of Moharrum instead of on 19.08.2021 (Thursday).
4. After careful consideration of the matter, Government have decided to declare holiday on the account of "MOHARRUM" on 20.08.2021 (FRIDAY) instead of 19.08.2021 (THURSDAY) and optional holiday on the account of 9th Moharrum on (THURSDAY) instead of 18.08.2021 (WEDENSDAY). Accordingly, the following notification is issued and shall be published in the extraordinary Gazette of Andhra Pradesh.
NOTIFICATION
"In Partial modification of the orders issued in G.O.Rt.No.1963, General Administration (Poll.B) Department, dated: 15.12.2020, the Government hereby declare Holiday on the eve of "MOHARRUM on 20.08.2021 (FRIDAY) instead of 19.08.2021 (THURSDAY) and Optional Holiday on the account of gh Moharrum on 19.08.2021 (THURSDAY) instead of 18.08.2021 (WEDENSDAY)".
